The world’s largest collection of original football shirts is coming to Royal Albert Dock Liverpool

Football fans are in for a treat as a limited edition pop-up store opens for one-month only at the iconic Royal Albert Dock Liverpool.

Classic Football Shirts is the home of classic, rare, retro and vintage football shirts, and will be opening its doors at 11am on Friday 3 May at Unit 3, Britannia Pavilion.

Founded in 2006 by friends Matt Dale and Doug Brierton who set up the company as students, Classic Football Shirts has grown to now carry more than 30,000 individual stock items, and has worked with nearly every major brand and team over the course of the last 10 years.

All shirts are original and official, dating from the seasons in which they were worn, and the pricing is relative to their rarity, condition, size and availability.

Ranges include Premier League clubs, UK national clubs, European and international leagues, plus official match-worn tops issued to or worn by national and international players, including Gerrard, Fowler, Gascoigne and Rooney amongst many others.

Fans can also find past season shirts to add to their collections, as well as specific player’s shirts from legendary games, and hard-to-come-by rare items.

Classic Football Shirts will join the exciting fashion and retail line-up currently taking shape at the Albert Dock, which has seen a number of independents emerge over the past year, including designer T-shirt outlet Lost Soles, sustainable fashion pop-up Mi Apparel ,and Hush Luxe, which specialises in pre-loved luxury brands.

The pop-up opening once more supports Aberdeen Standard Investment’s strategy to partner with a collection of independents, and to deliver a compelling retail offer at the Dock.

Portfolio Manager of Aberdeen Standard Investments, Chris Wright, comments, “We’re delighted to welcome Classic Football Shirts to Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, and the pop- up adds a new dynamic to the Britannia Pavilion, they will add further strength to the new, emerging retail offer.”
