Sefton Park Palm House To Host A Duo of Storybook Inspired Arts & Crafts Adventures

Sefton Park Palm House is set to be transformed into a land of make-believe this Half Term as part of a duo of Craft Afternoons with Livlamode.

Set to take place between 1-3pm on Wednesday, February 22 and Thursday, February 23, the fun-filled afternoons will consist of arts, crafts, games and storytelling.

The first instalment will revolve around the well-loved children’s story The Gruffalo, which explores the enchanting depths of the woods. The following day will be inspired by the classic children’s book Going on a Bear Hunt, whereby little-ones will complete the journey with a series of themed activities in search of a bear.

Senior Events Manager at Sefton Park Palm House Laura McCarten said: “Having joined forces with the wonderful children’s craft party specialists Livlamode, we are excited to bring the stories to life and allow youngsters’ imagination and creativity run wild.

“As the narratives of both books are based around a woodland setting, our beautiful Victorian glasshouse, which ultimately showcases the outdoors inside, makes for the picture-perfect backdrop for storytelling in motion.”

Following on from the Half Term fun will be the Flourish at Fifteen commemorative event in the form of a Sing-a-Long afternoon on Tuesday, February 28. Suitable for everyone of all ages, the musical marvel will take place between 2-4pmand will combine an audio assemble ranging from golden-oldies to current chart toppers.
