Liverpool’s Ice Festival Returns to Pierhead

This Christmas, for the third year in a row, Liverpool’s iconic Pierhead will be turned into the ultimate ice festival, the place to be when it comes to this year’s festivities! Here’s what you can expect!

For those wondering whether the infamous Liverpool Ice Rink will be returning to the festival – you needn’t worry. The rink will be back this year with penguins in tow for those that are a little unsteady on their feet. Making it the perfect Christmas activity for all ages and abilities. Skate around the pier head with the view of the three graces in the background. New York eat your heart out!

If you’re looking to seek a bit more of a thrill this year, don’t forget to have a go on the high speed, 30 metre ice run where festival-goers can hurtle down the three lanes at extremely high speed! This is set to be Liverpool’s most exhilarating festival ride yet – do you dare have a go?!

Of course, no Christmas festival is complete with lout food and like all of the Pierhead’s festivals there will be a large selection of street food from traditional bratwurst and tummy warming mulled wine and hot chocolate to Nutella stuffed crepes and delectable fudge in endless flavours. Don’t forget to truly indulge during your visit – after all, it is Christmas!

Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival launches on November 10th and runs through Christmas and New Year until January 6th. The festival will be closed on Christmas day.
