Legendary DJ Greg Wilson To Headline Morning Rave Experience Morning Gloryville At Kazimier

I think I can say that I’ve never DJ’d on a Wednesday morning before” says legendary DJ Greg Wilson as he is announced for the next installment of Morning Gloryville.

The conscious clubbing phenomenon returns on Wednesday 7 October 2015enabling revelers to ‘rave their way into the day’ at Liverpool’s much loved Kazimier venue.

As one of the Kazimier’s final events – Morning Gloryville organisers say this is a once in a lifetime chance to celebrate the venue and give a fitting send off to a place that’s witnessed some of the best and most diverse range of artists perform over the years.

Liverpool’s Morning Gloryville agent Anna Maloney said: “The Kazimier has such a special energy and has been a gem of creativity, expression, fantastic music and special nights in the City. We love its concentric structure, like an amphitheatre so imagine all of our Breakfast Ravers joining there to dance and celebrate life! The theme is Neon for people to shine out of the darkness!”

Greg Wilson DJGreg Wilson has been leading in the dance scene in the northwest since the 80s with regular nights at the Hacienda and Wigan Pier. Nominated by DJ magazine for outstanding contribution, and also named amongst their top 20 remixers of all-time, his edits and mixes continue to feature on the playlists of DJ’s in every continent.

Greg said: “Morning Gloryville is going to be nuts! It also serendipitously provides me with an opportunity I didn’t think I was going to get – to play The Kazimier, Liverpool’s most happening club of recent times, before it closes its doors and its era ends – if you’re going to do it, you may as well do it upside down and the wrong way round.

“I think I can say that I’ve never DJ’d on a Wednesday morning before – it’s a whole new experience I’m really looking forward to. Morning Gloryville was the inspiration for our sunrise session at the recent Festival No.6, where we held a 12 hour Super Weird Happening, so the timing couldn’t be more appropriate. Having played some incredible parties in Liverpool this year, at the Bombed Out Church, the Pier Head and the Palm House, this is another special occasion in a resurgent city with its finger most definitely on the pulse of now.”

There will also be the resident line up of Liverpool’s DJs, masseurs and yogis to ensure Citizens break out a sweat on this early autumn morning.
