Want to know what happens when comedians and rap battles collide?

After exploding onto the scene at this year’s Liverpool Comedy Festival with their first ever live event, Crapbattles is set to take the comedy world by storm! The new format of show is the brainchild of Hot Water Comedy Clubs’ founder Paul Blair who, as a long life fan of the regular format rap battle events thought that it would be great to mix it up a bit and make rap battles funny again. Comedians take the stage against one another to battle it out verbally with personal written rhymes about each other. Each comedian gets 3 x 1-minute rounds to impress the audience on the night with the final winner decided by an online vote. All battle videos from our last event can be found on our website.

The next event will be held at Hot Water Comedy Club in The Holiday Inn, Lime Street on Thursday 15th January 2015 where 8 battles will take place along with resident hosts Tony Carroll & Liverpool rap battle legend O’Shea. Doors open at 7:00pm, show starts at 8:00pm and tickets are available from www.crapbattles.com for £5 / £3.

Notable performers at this event are O’Shea who is a Liverpool rapper with some video’s on YouTube reaching 500,000 views. Micky Worthless is another rap battle veteran who is battling local comedian Tony Carroll at our next event.
