The Brink Prepares For A Healthy New Year

The Brink is ringing in the New Year by encouraging Liverpool locals to have a happy and healthy 2018.

Located on Parr Street, the UK’s first dry-bar will begin the year by marking Dry January, whereby it will be serving up a range of 130 alcohol-free beverages including mocktails, juices, detoxing presses and smoothies.

In line with its innovative initiative, throughout the next 12 months the venue will regularly introduce classes, seminars and activities devised with well-being in mind to run alongside its already eclectic schedule.

General Manager of The Brink Carl Bell said: “Year on year, The Brink becomes a flagship destination throughout Dry January, which encourages participants to cut out alcohol for the month noting several health benefits including weight-loss and better sleep quality. Here at The Brink, our ethos focuses on health and happiness, so why not make looking after yourself a year-round priority?

“With this in mind, we’ll be maintaining a comprehensive events schedule throughout the next 12 months, with a variety of activities on offer covering fitness, nutrition, meditation and arts and crafts to name a few. To coincide with this element of our offering, our kitchen will also be serving up a variety of nutritious, hearty and home-made dishes with a true taste of the feel-good factor.”

January will see the introduction of a number of free activities including Boxercise, which encourages fitness, discipline and strength and a duo of Nutrition Workshops, in collaboration with Feel Good Formula, alongside regular classes including Morning Meditation and Yoga.

Carl added: “We’re certainly excited to launch our newer offerings including our Nutrition Workshops, which have been designed to supplement well-being for both the recovery community and the general public alike. During the two seminars, we’ll be focusing on boosting immune systems with beneficial foods, staying well in the midst of cold season and the reasons why 95% of diets fail and the common mistakes we don’t realise we’re making.

“We hope that our culinary, creative and activity led offering will not only assist our guests in sticking to New Year’s resolutions and improving overall health, but helping them maintain the positive effects all year round.”

Boxercise will take place every Wednesday from 6pm – 7pm while the Nutrition Workshops will take place on Thursday, January 25 and Thursday, February 1.
